Laine Ashker's visit at Crow's Ear Farm, her home away from home!

Laine's visit is coming to a close here at CEF but not without a bang!  We traveled our first day to Ram Tap in Herndon, CA for a x-c school with 2 students and of course mom aboard infamous Solar Express, then the following day from Sacramento to San Francisco to meet with friends and tour Alcatraz.  SF was lovely!  We added seeing cousin Trinity Gleckler at her Sac City Rollers bout, rescuing a fallen baby fawn that got hit ahead of us driving home and now rehabbing back to health, the State Fair and a morning of enthusiastic dressage and jumping lessons for the students stealing remaining time with Laine.  We had so much fun this visit and driving to the airport this morning will be a long and swollen eyed one.

Laine schooled "Lyle" this week and he was just FABULOUS.  He will be competing at the Summer Event at Woodside August 13-15, 2010 going Novice with Laine in the irons and it should prove to be an incredible weekend!  "The Big Island" will be offered for sale at that point and those of you interested may watch him perform.  He will prove himself as a very serious upper level event horse.  Class and substance. The total package.

Little Mod brought a huge smile to Laine's face as well and she is conjuring up ways to bring both new horses to her barn in VA.  With Mod being only 3 we have time on our hands to play!

I will post pics of Lyle at Ram Tap shortly and until then if you are searching for a young, athletic, affordable Event horse prospect, BOOKMARK THIS SITE.  You have come to the right place!
